After the total deadlock at top and bottom of last week’s chart, the shakeup in this edition of Power Rankings is welcome. Spearheading the changes this week is Nanatsu no Taizai, which improves on an already impressive top 5 position last time by jumping into second place behind the continued excellence of Koe no Katachi. That means a tiny drop for the increasingly familiar pairing of Gintama and Shokugeki no Souma, while the top 5 is rounded out by Kaminomi recovering from a missed issue.
In mid-table, the biggest changes are drops thanks to several absences this week, with One Piece and Toriko taking simultaneous breaks and Area D following its usual on-again, off-again pattern. With the door left wide open, the most surprising series to capitalize is Fuuka. Seo Kouji hasn’t had time to work in any of his angst-ridden tricks just yet, so this young romance series is still firmly in its honeymoon grace period. Enjoy it while it lasts.
Towards the bottom, Stealth Symphony has joined the Power Rankings and will look to build on its steady, familiar introduction in the coming weeks and escape from the vicinity of the usual assortment of stragglers and layabouts at the wrong end of the chart.
