Really surprised to see a beamcast when we weren’t expecting one. This actually made my day way better, given that I have 13 hours of university, of which 4 are breaks, so thank you for providing an entertaining 2 hours yet again.
While grateful for the early release, i do believe you should shift the releases one day later. You could have reviewed many chapters released during the last 3 days. I was expecting Beelzebub (although released 2 days ago), Toriko 112, ZKC 232-233, enigma 3, etc. I don’t mind, especially since you could have easily covered them next week.
About the Suzuka reference, I do believe that while there are striking similarities, between Honoka and Asuka’s case, but I doubt things will go similarly in both series. First of all, Asuka doesn’t have the backstory Konoka had back then (when Yamato found her in that Shrine and fixed a bell or something), and Konoka paired up with Yamato way too early in the series, and was his first romantic relationship. Haruto has had relations before, nearly with Kanzaki and once with Eba. Then again, this might actually mean he Haruto might not end up with Eba after all, since Eba falls under the childhood friend trope as well in Seo Kouji’s works. I’d prefer Asuka as the final love relationship in the series.
By the way, where can I find the latest Gintama chapters? I can only find up to chapter 311.
See if you can find the new series in SJ as well (I think it’s called Light Wing). It has been a while since I’ve read a soccer series. I’d like to see how it compares to Captain Tsubasa and Whistle for that matter.
Looking for another beamcast next week and a good One Piece chapter (finally!).
Yeah, we’ve had to record these episodes each Saturday for the last few weeks because of scheduling conflicts. We do not like doing this at all, so as soon as we’re able to, we’ll be moving back to recording on Sundays like we used to.
The latest Gintama (and BM:S2) chapters are only available to read as raw + translation, as far as I’m aware. I know that Hi Wa Mata Noboru is intending to catch up on Gintama, but they have a little ways to go. While I typically don’t cover series without available scanlation, Gintama is big enough (both in terms of sales and fanbase) that I felt it was worth keeping current with translations only. If you’re feeling similarly ambitious, I get the raws from Raw-Distro (http://www.rawdistro.net/) and the translations from Bomber D. Rufi on MangaHelpers (http://mangahelpers.com/t/bomberdrufi/archives/).
Sadly, I can’t do the same for Light Wing (or current chapters of Oumagadoki Doubutsuen), because I haven’t even been able to find translations. I’m definitely curious, being such a soccer fan, but considering that Shonen Shikku never drew interest from a scan group, I can’t say I have high hopes for someone picking up Light Wing. Still, I’ll keep an eye out. (Cool that you read Whistle!, too.)

Nothing more to add to what you all covered, thanks for mentioning my question and the answers seem logical. It will probably either be Elfman or Lisanna (Doesn;t happy have paws, since he is a car) because it was a hand if I recall.
One Piece spoilers are out right now, but I won’t spoil it, I just look forward to you guys going over what is going to happen aswell as your thoughts.
Also… SWOT… I dropped that in chapter 5. Let us know if they manage to squeeze in the plot about how the main character wants to build a space ship or something, if the manga manages to also fit that in somewhere, this could get the title for the worst manga in quite a few years.
(Though the worst Manga for me ever is Clover by CLAMP. That was just the definition of poor)

Beware of typos. I laughed my *** off trying to understand what (Doesn’t happy have paws, since he is a car) meant. Anyway, why would only these characters seem logical (regarding Fairy Tail)? I actually expect Mashima to have a powerful character such as Gildartz or Erza being beaten up (no way will someone actually die in this series. Lisanna’s Disney Death is proof of that) or “killed” as you said on a previous post. Gildartz would be my prediction, since he has lost an arm and a leg (if i remember correctly) and is ready to suffer the Worf Effect due to these losses. Natsu’s role in this series is to actually win against those whom not even S-class mages can defeat. Therefore I can’t see why an S-class mage wouldn’t be the victim. As for Natsu crying for someone… well I’d say he would cry for everyone even if they were remotely important to him. Even Evergreen for that matter.
Haven’t read Clover, but I have actually read two other CLAMP series, xxxHolic and Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles. I can understand why you would consider a CLAMP series to be garbage. They are basically Mind Screw Incarnate. I still haven’t understood what happened at the end of TSC, and I read it last year.
I’d actually like if SWOT continued for a while. I just love hearing how bad it is in beamcast reviews. Thanks for the raw distributor Kizo, I’ve been already reading bomber d.rufi’s translations all along but i’m glad to find raw scans after the end of raw-paradise. Using mangahead and e-manga is way too annoying as they have way too bad page navigation features to enjoy a chapter (and there are few series’s scans as well).
